What We Do

Public and professional mapping services, enabling staff, students, faculty and the public to find, use and share campus maps.

By coordinating the collection of spatial data about University physical resources and infrastructure, Loc.i:

  • Manages AutoCAD and GIS data for campus Utilities and Energy Management (UEM)
  • Works alongside Campus Real Estate (CREO) to maintain mapping records for campus property and easements
  • Supports the Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (OFPC) and Project Management and Constructing Services (PMCS) with spatial information regarding utilities and campus geography
  • Maintains campus GIS basemap
  • Provides information and visualizations to assist decision making
  • Responds to 811 Call Before You Dig requests for underground utilities locations

How We Do It

Loc.i creates and maintains accurate mapping information using the latest geographic information systems (GIS), computer-aided design (CAD), Global Positioning System (GPS), web and mobile mapping technology.
